Explain Change Management Life-cycle?
1️⃣Creation and Scope: Create the change request and document all relevant details. Or locate one assigned to you/your group.
⬇️
2️⃣Approval: If necessary, the change is reviewed and can be approved or rejected.
⬇️
3️⃣Implementation: One or more change tasks may be created to guide through the implementation.
⬇️
4️⃣Closure: Complete the PIR (Post Implementation Review), if required. The change may close automatically after final task or PIR, or you may need to close manually.
How many types of Change available in ServiceNow?
- ✳️Standard Change: Pre-approved, low-risk changes with defined procedures. Quick implementation due to minimal approval.
- ✳️Emergency Change: Urgent changes for critical issues. They bypass standard approvals and go straight for CAB (Change Advisory Board) authorization.
- ✳️Normal Change: Changes that are neither standard nor emergency. They require full review, approval process, peer review, and CAB authorization.
